In order to decipher from where does the force of attraction of Vicenta Gómez’s work comes, we must recreate the tacit, agile, harmonic and constant dialogue among drawing and sculpture occurring in every piece she makes. Sometimes this this dialogue gets explicitly consigned on the ouvre (as in Hilos rojos). Often its presence is, so to speak, “ultrasonic” and none the less it seduces us from that intangible dimension. Here we refer to drawing conceived in one of its most original ways, as a trace of time crossed by a human gesture. And we refer to sculpture as a medium that perforates the frontiers between the objects and the space.
